Olli Jokinen to Calgary

The Flames pay a huge price for the highly skilled center with another year left on his contract:

Calgary gives up speedy forward Matthew Lombardi, rookie forward Brandon Prust and a 1st-round pick.

This immediately pushes the Flames into the upper echelon of teams in the west along with Detroit and San Jose.

Combine this trade with the earlier addition of Jordon Leopold and Calgary is an early winner on trade deadline day.

They've given up a good amount of futures but clearly believe that this is their year and are ready to make the push.
